The Material Certification Hold project setting decides whether Oversite keeps uncertified items off new pay requests.

When the setting is on, Oversite holds any item that is not fully certified off new pay requests, so you do not bill for material you cannot yet certify. When the setting is off, uncertified items are billed as usual and certification is tracked separately.

You change this in the project's settings.

With the setting on, an item that is not fully certified is held off new pay requests until it is certified. With the setting off, uncertified items appear on new pay requests as usual.

What counts as an uncertified item?
Oversite uses each item's certification status. An item is certified once its placed quantities are within the certified quantity you have documented. Until then, Oversite treats it as uncertified.

Does the setting affect pay requests I already created?
The setting applies to new pay requests. While it is on, items that are not certified are held off new pay requests.

How do I get a held item onto a pay request?
Add the item's certification and confirm it is certified, and the item can appear on a new pay request. You can also turn Material Certification Hold off in the project's settings to bill uncertified items.

An uncertified item is missing from a new pay request.
This is expected when Material Certification Hold is on. Oversite holds items that are not fully certified off new pay requests. Certify the item, or turn the setting off in the project's settings, and the item can be billed.

Uncertified items are still appearing on new pay requests.
The setting is most likely off. Open the project's settings and turn Material Certification Hold on.
