Attachments let you share the drawings, photos, and documents that support an RFI (Request for Information). You can attach files to a request you are preparing, and the CEI can attach files to its response.
Administrators, project managers, and supervisors can add attachments to RFIs their company created.
How to add an attachment to an RFI
You can add attachments once the RFI has been saved as a draft. If you have not saved yet, open the request and click Save and Continue first, which makes the Attachments section available.
Open the RFI for editing and find the Attachments section.
Click Add Attachment.
Drop a file into the upload area, or click it to select one. You can upload PDF files and images, including PNG, JPG, GIF, and iPhone photos (HEIC/HEIF), up to 135 MB each.
Add reference details if they help: Specification Section, Detail Number, and Other Reference.
Click Upload Attachment.
The file appears in the Attachments list on the request.
How to edit or remove an attachment
In the Attachments list, click the attachment to expand it.
Update the Description or the reference fields.
Click Save Changes.
To remove an attachment, use its delete icon.
What happens with photo location and date
When you upload a photo, Oversite reads the location and the date and time the photo was taken, when that information is available in the image.
How the CEI attaches documents to a response
When the CEI writes a response, it can attach its own supporting documents in the Your Response section. These appear to the contractor as Supporting Documents alongside the answer.
Troubleshooting
The Attachments section is not showing. Attachments become available after you first save the request with Save and Continue. Save the draft, then add attachments.
My file upload failed. Check that the file is a supported type (a PDF, or an image such as PNG, JPG, GIF, or HEIC/HEIF) and no larger than 135 MB. Try uploading one file at a time, and check your internet connection.
