Item withholding is performed in two steps:
The first step is to withhold items during an inspection.
The second step is to release withheld items when it's time to bill for them.
This article deals with the second step, releasing withheld items when creating or editing a Pay Request.
Release Withheld Items
If items have been withheld from at least one inspection within a project or group, there will be an alert displayed during the Pay Request creation/editing process (pictured below).
The yellow, View Withheld Items button indicates that there are withheld items that can be released on this Pay Request. Click the button to see a list of eligible items.
After clicking the Withheld Items button, a popup box with a list of the currently withheld items will be displayed. You have a two options on this screen:
Click Release All to release all currently withheld quantities of the specific item.
Click Release Some to specify a quantity to release, up to the total currently withheld amount.
Once you have made your adjustments, click the Done button to apply your changes and close the popup box. Released items will be highlighted in the list for easy visual reference.
Change Released Amounts
If you need to edit a released item's quantity on an Pay Request, you can click the View Withheld Items button on the Pay Request creation/edit screen make your changes. Clicking the View Withheld Items button will display the withheld items release popup box where you can make your adjustments. Click the Done button to save and apply your changes.
