Overview
The Bituminous Index setting allows you to add price adjustments to Payment Requests to account for fluctuations in bituminous material costs (asphalt, tar-based products, etc.).
Enabling the Setting
Navigate to your project's Settings tab
Under Pricing & Invoicing, find the Bituminous Index Adjustments toggle
Switch it on to enable this feature
Note: This setting cannot be changed once a project is marked as Completed.
Using Bituminous Index Adjustments
Once enabled, you can add Bituminous Index adjustments when creating or editing a Payment Request:
Open a Payment Request
In the adjustments section, select Bituminous Index from the adjustment type dropdown
Enter the adjustment amount (positive or negative) to reflect material cost changes
The adjustment will appear as a line item on your Payment Request
