The Microsoft Teams integration connects Oversite to your Microsoft work or school account. Once connected, Oversite can create Teams online meetings from your Oversite meetings, add them to your calendar, invite attendees, and pull the Teams meeting transcript back into Oversite after the meeting takes place.
You connect the integration once from your account settings. After that, an option to create a Teams meeting appears whenever you schedule a meeting in Oversite.
Who sets up the integration
The integration works best when a company administrator connects it on behalf of the organization. The administrator signs in with an admin account for the company's Microsoft Teams organization and checks the box to Consent on behalf of your organization, which makes the integration available to everyone in the company.
You connect using your own Microsoft account. Any Teams meeting you create in Oversite is scheduled from the calendar of the account that created it, and that account appears as the organizer.
How the integration fits into Oversite
You connect and disconnect the integration on the Integrations page under your account Settings.
Everything else happens in Oversite's Meetings feature. When you create a meeting, you can turn on a Teams meeting for it. The join link, calendar invite, transcript, and meeting notes all attach to that meeting.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the Microsoft Teams integration to use Oversite?
No. The integration is optional. You only need it to create Teams meetings, calendar invites, and transcripts from Oversite. Every other Oversite feature works without it.
Who should connect the integration?
A company administrator connects it on behalf of the organization by signing in with an admin account and consenting for the organization, which makes it available to your team. You connect with your own Microsoft account.
Whose calendar is a Teams meeting created in?
A Teams meeting is scheduled from the Microsoft account that created it. That account appears as the organizer.
Can I invite people outside my company?
Yes. Add external attendees by email. They receive the calendar invite and the Teams join link even though they are not part of your Microsoft organization.
