After AI Inspection Review runs on a daily inspection, it can suggest clearer wording for the overview notes and for individual entry comments. Each suggestion is optional. You apply it with one click and can undo or revert it afterward. This article covers applying, undoing, and reverting suggested rewrites. Applying a rewrite replaces your wording with the suggested wording. It does not change the inspection's status and does not notify anyone.
How to apply a suggested rewrite for the overview notes
After a review finishes, the suggested wording for your overview notes appears in the AI Suggested Notes card, below the General Comments on the inspection.
Find the AI Suggested Notes card below the General Comments.
Read the suggested wording.
Click Apply Tone Edit to use it. The suggested wording replaces the current General Comments.
When it works, a stripe reads "AI suggestion applied to overview notes" with a Revert option.
How to apply a suggested rewrite for an entry comment
After a review finishes, a suggestion for an individual entry comment appears in a card labeled AI Suggested with the field's name, below that comment.
Below the entry comment, find the AI Suggested card.
Read the suggested wording.
Click Apply Edit to replace that comment with the suggested wording.
When it works, a confirmation with a Revert option appears in place of the card.
How to undo or revert a rewrite
You can put the original wording back at any time after applying a suggestion.
Right after you apply a suggestion, click Undo on the message that appears to restore the original wording.
Later, click Revert on the applied stripe to restore the original wording.
Note: If you edited the text yourself after applying a suggestion, reverting could overwrite your edits. In that case a Revert AI changes? dialog appears and explains this. Choose Revert anyway to restore the wording from before the review ran, or Keep my edits to leave your text as it is.
Troubleshooting
Reverting shows a "Revert AI changes?" warning. This means you edited the text after the assistant applied its suggestion. Choose Revert anyway to restore the wording from before the review ran, or Keep my edits to keep your current text.
I cannot apply a suggestion again. A suggestion that is already applied cannot be applied a second time. Click Undo or Revert first, then apply it again.
I do not see any suggested rewrites. Suggestions appear only after a review finishes, and only where the assistant has clearer wording to offer. Run a review on the inspection first. See Running an AI inspection review.

Does applying a rewrite change anything else on the inspection? No. Applying a rewrite replaces only that wording. It does not change the inspection's status, and no emails or alerts are sent.
Can I edit the suggested wording after applying it? Yes. Once applied, the wording sits in the General Comments or the entry comment like any other text, so you can edit it.
