Oversite Voice fills out a daily inspection from what you say. You hold the microphone, speak a plain sentence, and Oversite proposes each change as a card you confirm or discard. Nothing saves until you confirm. This article covers speaking your updates and working through the proposed changes. To open Oversite Voice first, see Open Oversite Voice on an inspection.

Keep holding for the whole sentence. Releasing the button is what tells Oversite you are finished, so there is no need to say "stop" or "send." If your finger drifts off the button while you are talking, the release still registers. A single hold stops recording after two minutes, so break a long dictation into shorter holds.

You can put several things in one hold. "Item 402, 30 tons, and we had an excavator running six hours" produces two separate changes, each with its own card.

While Oversite is still working out your last sentence you cannot start a new hold. Once cards are on screen you can keep talking as much as you like.

Every change is proposed, never applied on its own. A card shows what will change, with two buttons:

On cards you can edit before saving, the second button reads Edit instead, and Discard appears as a link beside it. You can also say "confirm" or "discard" instead of tapping.

The field or row a change targets is outlined in dashed purple and marked PENDING while it waits, and the report scrolls to it. Once you confirm, the mark turns green and reads UPDATED, ADDED, or ATTACHED. Discarding a change clears the marking.

If a required field is missing, the card shows a short checklist instead of a Confirm button. Fill the fields in on the checklist, or hold the microphone and say the rest ("eight hours," "Bell Construction"). Your answer completes the same change rather than starting a new one.

If what you said is close to more than one pay item, the card offers Did you mean… chips. Tap the right one.

If you name a pay item that is not on the project, the change is dropped rather than guessed at. Say the item number again, or tap Log a pay item and pick it from the list.

Some changes need one extra tap before they save.

Resolving a decision saves the change straight away. There is no second confirmation after it.

When more than one change is waiting, they collect in a bar labeled Detected changes with a count of how many are pending. Each one is a chip. Tap a chip to open that change, review it, and confirm or discard it. While you are still dictating, the bar shows that it is capturing.

When two or more of the waiting changes are safe to save in bulk, a Confirm all button appears with the count. Confirm all deliberately skips anything that still needs your attention: changes with missing fields, any removal, and anything that would replace text you already have. Those stay on their chips for you to handle one at a time.

These phrases are recognized on the spot, so they take effect immediately and do not use any of your weekly budget.

A command only works when there is something for it to act on. If there is no open card, "confirm" is treated as something you are trying to record instead. Removals accept only the literal word "confirm." A loose "yes" or "looks good" will not delete anything.

You do not have to confirm each change before recording the next. Talk through everything you did today, let the changes stack up as chips, then work through the chips. This is usually faster than stopping after every sentence.

I spoke but nothing was heard. Hold the button down through the whole sentence and release only when you have finished. Recording stops on its own after two minutes, so break long dictations into shorter holds. If the message says you are offline rather than that nothing was heard, the connection dropped mid-sentence. Try again once you are back on.

I spoke and no card appeared. If nothing you said matches a change on this report, the chat tells you and asks for a more specific edit. Some changes are dropped because the report cannot take them, for example withholding on a pay item with no quantity placed yet, or a form question this project does not have. Fix that first, or make the change by hand.

It changed the wrong field. If a field is focused, only that field can change. Tap the ✕ on the highlighted field to widen the conversation back to the whole report. Name the field explicitly in what you say, or tap it first. Anything already saved by mistake can usually be reversed from Session activity and undo. See Correct, remove, and undo changes.

A change did not save. Tap Retry on the card. If part of a multi-step change already saved, Retry picks up from where it stopped rather than creating duplicates. If you are offline, the card tells you so and Retry stays available for when the connection is back.

Does anything save before I confirm it? No. Every change is proposed as a card, and nothing is written until you confirm. Closing the chat discards anything still waiting.

Does the AI do the math on my measurements? No. When you dictate a shape and its dimensions, Oversite records them and works out the total with the same calculator you use when entering a measurement by hand. The numbers come out identical either way.

Does data I enter by voice behave differently from data I type in? No. A confirmed change is saved exactly the way a manual edit is, so approvals, exported reports, pay requests, and the inspection lock all treat the two identically.
