AI Inspection Review is a beta assistant that reads a completed daily inspection and returns a recommendation, a set of health checks, and suggested wording for your notes. This article covers how to run a review, run it again, retry one that failed, and rate the result. For what the feature does and who can use it, see AI Inspection Review overview.
You run a review from the AI review (beta) strip on a daily inspection. The strip appears only on daily inspections, and only for accounts that have the beta turned on.
How to open the AI review strip on an inspection
The AI review (beta) strip sits at the top of a daily inspection, just below the inspection header.
Open the Project Group that contains your project.
Click the Project name to open it.
Open Daily Inspections and click the inspection you want to view.
Look for the AI review (beta) strip near the top of the inspection.
If no review has run yet, the strip shows a Run AI review button. If a review has already run, the strip shows the recommendation and the health checks instead. For help locating an inspection, see Finding an Inspection.
How to run an AI review
Run a review from the AI review (beta) strip on an open daily inspection.
In the AI review (beta) strip, click Run AI review.
Wait while the progress bar runs. The assistant reads the inspection, which usually takes up to a few minutes.
When the review finishes, the strip updates with a recommendation and a set of health checks. Suggestions appear inline next to the notes and line items.
When it works, the strip shows a recommendation badge and health check pills, and any suggested rewrites appear next to the overview notes and the line items.
Note: Running a review does not change the inspection and does not notify anyone. It only reads the inspection and produces suggestions for you.
How to run the review again
Run the review again after you change the inspection, for example after you correct a quantity or edit your notes.
In the AI review (beta) strip on the inspection, click Run again.
Wait for the progress bar to finish. The strip updates with the new recommendation and health checks.
How to retry a review that failed
If a review does not finish, the AI review (beta) strip shows AI review failed. with a Retry button.
In the strip, click Retry to start a new review.
Wait for the progress bar. When it finishes, the strip shows the recommendation and health checks.
A very large inspection can take too long and stop with a failure. If a review keeps failing, contact support.
How to rate a review
Rating a review tells the Oversite team whether it was useful and helps improve future reviews. You rate a review from the AI review (beta) strip after it finishes.
Find the how was this review? prompt in the strip.
Click the thumbs up to mark the review Helpful, or the thumbs down to mark it Not helpful.
If you click thumbs down, a box opens asking What was off about this review? Typing a comment is optional.
Enter any details and click Submit, or click Cancel to close the box without a comment.
You can change your rating later by clicking the other thumb.
Troubleshooting
I do not see the AI review strip. Confirm you are viewing a daily inspection, not a change order or pay request, and that you opened the inspection to view it rather than the edit form. The review appears only for accounts with the beta turned on. If you are viewing a daily inspection and still do not see the strip, contact your Oversite administrator.
The review failed. Click Retry or Run again to start a new review. Very large inspections can take too long and stop. If it keeps failing, contact support.
The review is taking a long time. A review usually takes up to a few minutes, and the progress bar shows it is still working. If it does not finish, it stops and shows a failure so you can run it again.
