Weather is captured as part of a daily inspection, also called a DWR. It lives in the Basics step, where Oversite loads the forecast for the project location and inspection date and gives you a Weather Day toggle and a Weather Notes field to record how the weather affected the work.
How the weather panel loads on an inspection
The weather panel is on the Basics step of a daily inspection.
Open or create a daily inspection.
On the Basics step, select the Project if it is not already set, then select the Inspection Date.
The Weather section loads the forecast for that project location and date automatically.
Click the Weather heading to expand or collapse the panel.
Once loaded, the panel shows the day's temperature range and three time-of-day snapshots labeled 6:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. Each snapshot includes the conditions, temperature, humidity, wind, and precipitation for that time. Temperatures are shown in degrees Fahrenheit.
How to record a weather day
On the Basics step of the daily inspection, inside the Weather panel:
Set the Weather Day toggle to Yes if weather affected work on this day, or leave it No.
In Weather Notes, describe the day's weather and how it affected the work.
Continue through the rest of the inspection and save as usual.

Weather fields on an inspection

Troubleshooting
The weather panel on my inspection is empty or says weather is unavailable
Make sure both a Project and an Inspection Date are selected on the Basics step. Confirm the project address has a location set. The forecast may not be available for dates far in the past or future. You can still set the Weather Day toggle and add Weather Notes manually.
The hourly conditions are not showing in the weather panel
The panel shows a message when hourly detail is not available for that date and location. The day's temperature range and your weather day fields are still saved with the inspection.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to record weather on every inspection?
No. The forecast conditions load automatically, but the Weather Day toggle and Weather Notes are optional. Fill them in when weather is relevant to the day's work.
Why does my inspection say the weather forecast is not available?
The forecast loads for the selected project location and inspection date. If the date is outside the range the forecast covers, or the project has no location set, the panel shows that weather is not available for that date and location. You can still set the Weather Day toggle and add Weather Notes manually.
Are the temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius?
The temperatures on the inspection weather panel are shown in degrees Fahrenheit.
Does capturing weather work offline?
Yes. When you create or edit an inspection offline, the weather day flag, notes, and the conditions captured before you went offline are saved with the inspection and sync when you reconnect.
