The Weather Days report gives you a chronological log of the weather days you have recorded, with the inspector, the inspection reference, and the weather notes for each. It is available for a single project and for a whole group.
How to open the Weather Days report
Navigate to the Project or the Group.
Open the Reports area.
From the report list, select Weather Days.
The report opens on the Report View page and loads the full project or group history by default.
What the Weather Days report shows
At the top, a summary card shows:
Field | Description |
Date Range | The window the report covers. It defaults to the project or group lifetime until you choose a start and end date. |
Total Weather Days | The number of separate calendar dates recorded as weather days on approved or completed inspections. |
Imbalance Count | The difference between the weather days recorded and the calendar days added to the project by approved change orders that extended the completion date. |
Below the summary is a table with one row per weather day:
Date - the date of the inspection.
Inspector - the team member who created the inspection.
DWR Reference - a link to the daily inspection the weather day came from.
Weather Notes - the notes recorded on that inspection.
The group report adds a Project column, a subtotal row for each project, and a Grand Total Weather Days figure across the group.
What the Imbalance Count means
The Imbalance Count compares two numbers: the weather days you have recorded, and the calendar days that approved change orders have added to the project's completion date. A positive number means you have logged more weather days than the time extensions granted so far. This is often the figure a scheduler watches when deciding whether to request more time. How to filter the report by date range
On the Report View page, find the date pickers under Report Options.
Choose a start date, then an end date.
The report reloads to cover only the range you selected.
To return to the full history, reopen the report from the report list.
How to export the Weather Days report
Open the Weather Days report.
Under Download Options, choose PDF to download a formatted report for sharing or filing, or CSV to download the data for a spreadsheet.
Both exports include the weather day rows and the totals. The group export also includes the project column and the per-project subtotals.
Troubleshooting
A weather day I recorded is not in the report
Check that the inspection has been approved or completed. Draft and in-review inspections do not count toward the report. Confirm the Weather Day toggle was set to Yes on that inspection. Then check the report's Date Range and set it to cover the inspection date, or reopen the report to see the full history.
The report shows no weather days
No inspections in the selected range have been marked as a weather day on an approved or completed inspection. Widen the Date Range or reopen the report to view the full project or group history.
Frequently asked questions
Which inspections count toward the Weather Days report?
Only inspections that have been approved or completed count toward the totals. Draft inspections and inspections still in review are not included.
If I record two inspections on the same day and both are weather days, does that count as two?
No. Weather days are counted by calendar date, so the same date counts once, even across multiple inspections.
What does a positive Imbalance Count mean?
It means you have recorded more weather days than the number of calendar days approved change orders have added to the project's completion date. It is a quick way to see whether recorded weather delays have been matched by granted time extensions.
Can I run a weather report across all my projects at once?
Yes. Open the Weather Days report at the group level. It lists weather days for every project in the group, with a subtotal for each project and a grand total.
