Oversite Voice lets you correct a value, remove a row you logged, and undo most saved changes. This article covers fixing mistakes on a daily inspection you are filling out by voice. For speaking and confirming changes in the first place, see Fill out an inspection by voice.
How to correct a value instead of re-entering it
If a value is wrong, say the correction in plain words, such as "actually it was six hours." Oversite recognizes that you are correcting an existing row and offers to update it rather than adding a duplicate. Confirm the update on the card.
How to focus on one field
Tapping a field in the report preview narrows the whole conversation to that field. This is the fastest way to fix one value, and it means a change can only land where you pointed.
Tap the field in the report preview. It is highlighted, and the chat tells you what the field currently holds.
Say the change, or ask about it.
To go back to the whole report, tap the small ✕ on the highlighted field.
While a field is focused, anything you say that would change something else is refused with a note telling you to widen the conversation first.
To type a value straight into a field instead of talking about it, tap the pencil that appears on the field. Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. Pencil edits are recorded in the session history alongside your spoken ones.
Tapping a custom form works the same way, and starts a walk through that form's remaining required questions.
How to remove a row or clear a field
Say what you want to remove, such as "remove the excavator" or "clear the weather note."
If more than one logged row matches, pick the row you meant.
Read the red confirmation card. Removals are the one place where a mistake is expensive, and some cannot be undone.
Say or tap the literal word confirm. A loose "yes" or "looks good" will not delete anything.
How to undo a saved change
Most saved changes can be reversed from one place.
Tap the history button, labeled Session activity and undo.
The This session sheet lists every change you committed, newest first, with a count of how many are still standing on the report.
Tap Undo beside the change you want to reverse. The row is struck through and marked Restored.
You can also just say "undo" to reverse the change you saved most recently.
What can and cannot be undone
Changes that cannot be cleanly reversed say so on the row instead of offering an Undo button that would only half work.

This is why removals ask for a separate confirmation on a red card. Read the card before confirming, especially on a crew or a pay item with photos.
Troubleshooting
A change has no Undo button. Removing a whole crew, deleting a photo, removing a pay item that had photos filed to it, and copying a section from a previous inspection cannot be reversed automatically. The row says so. Re-enter the affected rows by hand.
It changed the wrong field. If a field is focused, only that field can change. Tap the ✕ on the highlighted field to widen the conversation back to the whole report. Name the field explicitly, or tap it first. Anything already saved by mistake can usually be reversed from Session activity and undo.
Frequently asked questions
Why do removals ask for a separate confirmation? Removals are the one change where a mistake is expensive, and a few of them cannot be undone. The red card and the literal-word confirm are there so nothing is deleted on a loose "yes."
