How to ask a question about the inspection
Hold the microphone and ask, instead of recording a change. For example: "how much have I logged on item 402?", "what do my comments say?", or "what can you do?" The answer appears in the chat, and is read aloud if you have spoken replies turned on.
One sentence can do both. "What have I logged on item 402? Add another 15 tons" gets you an answer and a proposed change together.
Answers come from the inspection in front of you. When something you ask would depend on data outside it, such as a contract total or an invoice amount, the answer says so instead of estimating.
How to use a guided prompt
Before you have said anything, the chat offers starters under the heading "Or start with one of these:".

Each guided prompt asks one question at a time and skips ahead when you have already answered something. If you say "item 402, 30 tons" at the first question, it does not ask for the quantity again. After you confirm, it shows you the single sentence that would have done the same thing next time.
Starting a guided prompt costs nothing against your weekly usage, so the buttons keep working even when your weekly limit is used up. Only answers in your own words use the budget.
How to see what you can say
Mid-session, tap the ? button to open What can I say?. It lists example phrases grouped as Log work, Notes & fields, Fix or remove, Photos, and Ask questions, drawn from what is actually on this report. Rows marked Tap to start begin a guided prompt.
Frequently asked questions
Does starting a guided prompt use my weekly budget? No. Tapping Log a pay item, Add today's crew, Log equipment, or a form button costs nothing, which is why they keep working when your weekly limit is used up. Answering in your own words does use the budget.
Can it tell me my contract total or how much I have invoiced? No. It only sees the inspection in front of it. For contract totals, authorized quantities, invoice amounts, change orders, or the schedule, it says the answer is outside what it can see rather than guessing.
